DIGNITY TO THE AFRICAN CHILD

OUR CHURCHES

CONVERTING TRADITIONAL AFRICAN COMMUNITIES INTO KINGDOM MAT 28:18-20

It has been said that "the church in Africa is a kilometre wide and long but a foot deep" such conclusions have been made after observing nations in africa which have in the past been rated at over 95% christian exhibiting the most murderous brutalities as were witnessed in the central african republic of Rwanda. in the small african nation of Rwanda is where one of the most remarkable christian revivals started from and it was the field of 100 days of murder where even clergy members are said to have delivered their followers to perpetrators due to tribal differences! Divine Love Church through it's national gospel campaign rallies, discipleship training seminars, and church cell group efforts is here to turn the tide. it's time for the body of Christ in Uganda to realise that the fruit of your life is a direct result of your faith. "you shall know them by their fruit"lead servant David dances alongside his praise team at one of the crusade gatherings.

We Believe...

The Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
(John 16:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:18; Luke 3:22; John 14:16)

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,
(John 1:1; John 1:14; John 20:28-29; Philippians 2:6-11; Isaiah 9:6; Colossians 2:9)

His virgin birth,
(Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:34-35; Isaiah 7:14)

His sinless life,
(2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26-27; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:22)

His miracles,
(Matthew 4:23; Luke 6:17-19; John 3:2)

His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood,
(Colossians 1:14; Colossians 1:20; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 1:7)

His bodily resurrection,
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Luke 24:4-7; Luke 24:36-48; Revelation 1:17-18)

His ascension to the right hand of the Father,
(Acts 2:23; Acts 5:30-31; 1 Peter 3:22)

His personal return in power and in glory,
(Acts 1:11; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:1-3)

That justification by faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.
(Romans 3:24-25; John 3:3-7; 1 John 5:11-13; Ephesians 2:1-16; Revelation 5:9; Acts 4:23; 1 Corinthians 6:11)

That the prime agency for the work of God's Kingdom is the local church functioning under the sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ.  To the church have been entrusted the ordinances of Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
(Acts 2:41-47; Acts 16:4-5; Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:1; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, which includes:  His indwelling whereby the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; His supernatural gifting and empowering of the church for its work, life and worship.
(Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-46; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 14; Romans 8:13)

In the return of Jesus Christ, to consummate His Kingdom in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
(John 5:28-29; Mark 14:62; 2 Thessalonians 1:2-10; Revelation 1:5-7; Revelation 20:4-5; Revelation 20:11-12)

In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 17:11; John 17:21-23; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16)

We Value...

God's Presence — That He is here with us. He is present. He is personal. He is active in our lives and He is in charge of our church. We firmly believe that His Word (the Bible) is real and relevant to our lives. We believe that Jesus is as present with us as He was with His disciples throughout the pages of the New Testament; thus, we believe He still heals, He still delivers, and He still speaks!

WORSHIP — We believe that worship is lifestyle and doesn't just happen when we sing in coorperate worship. Our way of living is a reflection of our inner values.

OUTREACH - Luke 19:10 tells us that Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost. We need to be out there among the lost, actively seeking to bring them the message of Jesus. We long for His presence to be among us. this will have a dramatic influence on the lost. He said, "When I am lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me."

COMMUNITY — The local church is to function as a family (see Acts 2:42-47). We should be constantly looking out for one another, and seeking to meet each others' needs in any way we can. We see true Christian community as loving our neighbor as ourselves. The word neighbor is all inclusive—from our family and friends to those trapped in lifestyles of addictions. We long to see the transforming power of Jesus reach out to ALL HUMANITY (see Luke 5:30).

DISCIPLESHIP — In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus told us what the goal of all this was: "to make disciples." It is our hope that those who are more mature in the Lord will reach out to those who are new-borns and seekers. If we all pour ourselves into a few people, we could one day, "turn the world upside down." (Acts 17:6) This is how Jesus did it!

This is a very brief and general overview of who we are and what we believe. We feel that we are in desperate need of both the teaching of the Scripture and the power of God if we are really going to make a difference in africa. We also see no substitute for unconditional love and acceptance for all who enter our arena.
